Culinary Adventure & Tasting with Chef JJ Johnson
Join us in-person or virtually when Chef JJ Johnson, a James Beard Award-winning author, chef, and TV host conducts a cooking demonstration and creates and serves Afro-Asian-American rice bowls inspired by his Harlem neighborhood and global travels. JJ is Chef & Founder of FIELDTRIP a rice bowl shop born, raised, and located in Harlem, 30 Rockefeller Center, and Queens. Their motto is "Rice Is Culture".
Funds raised from this event will support the critical programs and services offered each year to more than 5,000 underserved and low-income New Yorkers who are served daily by LSSNY.
LSSNY provides programming in the following areas: early childhood education, supportive housing, foster care and preventive services, immigration legal services, food pantries and a school for special needs children.
